2018 FIFA World Cup: conduct might be illegal in Russia
US has new information regarding the investigation about the world championships 2018 and 2022 on the site of the Ministry of Justice. Law enforcement authority suspects FIFA in bribes that were paid to certain members of the Executive Committee, so that they voted for Russia and Qatar.
In a separate article we talked about all of next year’s FIFA details of transferring the European Championship.
The report of the Ministry said that the former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner received a bribe in the amount of $ 5 million per vote in favor of Russia. Note that the official from Trinidad and Tobago in 2015 was suspended for life from any activity in football. A bribe of $ 1 million for the voice of the Russian Federation offered Guatemalan Rafael Salguero.
But the biggest bribe was allocated Warner. It is paid by installments over six months: from late autumn 2010 to mid-April 2011. More than 20 transfers were made with the help of front companies in Cyprus and the Virgin Islands.
In our special article we discussed the scandal between the player Artyom Dzyuba and sports commentator Vasily Utkin.
For votes in favor of Qatar received payments ex-president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ricardo Teixeira, the former head of the Confederation of the Americas Paraguayan Nicolas Leoz, as well as another official, whose name was not called.
Prior to that, the US Department of Justice publishes a report which stated that Medvedev, Putin admitted that the FIFA President was bribed. This time, it was found a certain letter which Warner advised to do what was previously agreed. The letter was found at the post office assistant Warner.
